A Divided America

When I was mindlessly scrolling through Instagram and drinking my morning coffee today, I stumbled upon one of the most disturbing videos of our time.

In this video, Dennis Pragar, founder of Pragar University, was giving a speech on his talk show about the differences between Leftists and Liberals, but the takeaway was much larger.

Dennis Pragar shared some disturbing facts. Basically, colleges are calling for "separate" black graduations and dorms now. When I heard this news, I proceeded to make a quick internet search and fact check this "Dennis Pragar." Pragar was right. According to The New York Times, Harvard now has a separate commencement for its black graduate students. The Huffington Post also reported that California State University Los Angeles now offers a "Black Living-Learning Community," which is separate and "affordable" housing for black students. The University of Connecticut is doing something similar. It was reported by Campus Reform that they are building a new residence hall for black students. On the University of Connecticut website, it states that this residence hall "is a space for African American men to come together and validate their experiences that they may have on campus." This isn't only happening with race, though, as The University of Delaware is having "Lavender" graduations for their LGBT students.

After seeing Pragar's video and doing some basic research, I can see why race relations in America are only getting worse. The reason for this tension is that"leftists believe race matters" (Pragar). It appears that leftists, who run many big universities, are so focused on identity politics that they are, in fact, becoming what they are so afraid of: racists.
